Overview

A quote represents a price proposal for converting between fiat and cryptocurrency. Quotes lock the exchange rate for a limited time, protecting both the user and the platform from price volatility during the transaction.

Available Quote Types

On-Ramp (BRL → Crypto)

The on-ramp flow allows users to purchase cryptocurrency using Brazilian Reais. This is the most common use case for retail users wanting to buy crypto.

How it works

User specifies the amount in BRL they want to spend
API returns the amount of crypto they will receive at the current rate
User pays via Pix QR Code
Crypto is sent to the user's wallet

In this example, the user will pay R$ 100 and receive 18.50 USDT.

Off-Ramp (Crypto → BRL)

The off-ramp flow allows users to sell cryptocurrency and receive Brazilian Reais. This is used when users want to convert their crypto holdings to fiat.

Note: Off-ramp functionality may have additional compliance requirements. Contact support for availability.

How it works

User specifies the amount of crypto they want to sell
API returns the amount of BRL they will receive
User sends crypto to a designated deposit address
BRL is sent to the user's bank account via Pix

Quote Expiration

Quotes are valid for a limited time to protect against exchange rate fluctuations. The expiration time is indicated by the expiresAt field (Unix timestamp).

Handling Expiration

Always check expiresAt before using a quote
If expired, create a new quote
Using an expired quoteId in order creation will fail with error 400

Rate Preview

If you just need to display an indicative rate without locking it, use the rate preview endpoint:

GET /v1/quotes/rate?symbol=USDT/BRL&type=on_ramp

This returns the current rate without creating a quote. Useful for displaying prices in your UI before the user confirms the transaction.

Network Fees

When creating a quote, the response includes networkFees showing the withdrawal fee for each available network:
